Recognizing the pivotal role of Chief Health Equity Officers (CHEOs), SCHEO fosters a collaborative national network. This network empowers CHEOs to share best practices, learn from each other’s experiences, and develop impactful strategies to achieve health equity within their institutions.
SCHEO equips CHEOs with the tools they need to succeed. Members gain access to a treasure trove of educational resources, research findings, and data analysis focused on health equity. This empowers them to inform their programs, influence decision-making within their organizations, and stay current on the latest advancements. Additionally, SCHEO stays at the forefront of legislative and policy changes, advocating for CHEOs on these issues. We are pleased to announce that we offer certification and training programs spanning three days, each available during the first three quarters of the year. Our focused and comprehensive sessions aim to provide valuable skills and expertise to individuals seeking professional development opportunities in this field. Certification
Society For Chief Health Equity Officers – SCHEO provides certification for professionals.
1) CHEO-Certified Professional – CHEO – CP:
Description: This certification signifies expertise in health equity. This rigorous program equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to analyze disparities, develop solutions, advocate for impactful policies, and champion collaboration, ultimately positioning them as leaders in transforming the healthcare system towards a more just and equitable future for all.
Requirements: Typically requires a minimum level of education and/or relevant work experience, along with the successful completion of SCHEO-approved training or examination.
2) CHEO-Executive Certified Professional – CHEO – ECP:

This comprehensive program equips them with advanced skills for strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and fostering a culture of equity within their organizations. 3) CHEO-Senior Certified Professional – CHEO – SCP:
